The Copper Pot Distiller’s Edition release is part of the Writers’ Tears range which focuses on exploring the style of blended whiskey popularised in 18th century Ireland: aged single pot still whiskey blended with single malt. Exclusively produced using malted and unmalted barely, distilled in traditional copper pot stills and matured in charred bourbon barrels. The Distiller’s Edition is the same blend as the standard Copper Pot but bottled at 46%, and is only available in SA and Sweden. (Bottle size 750ml)
Nose: Flashes of apple with hints of vanilla and honey over a distinctly Irish pot still base.
Palate: Gently spiced with a burst of ginger and butterscotch with background notes of toasted oak.
Finish: Long and elegant with subtle notes of milk chocolate and almonds.
